Earth anchors
Two brothers, one press, and thirty-eight years of things that don't move.
Bruce and Ralph Robertson started B&R Stamping in Oakville in 1988, making earth anchors for Chasco Mobile. In 2000 they bought Chasco outright and have been refining the Load Lock anchor ever since. Every casting is poured to our own patterns, then finished, welded and assembled in our Ontario shop.
It doesn't rely on a cone of soil. It planes into ground that has never been disturbed.
Drive
Slide the drive rod into the anchor barrel and hammer it to depth at the angle the job calls for. Pull the rod and pack the hole.
Set
Tension the cable with a lever, jack or winch. The anchor rotates underground and begins to plane sideways.
Lock
The anchor bears against undisturbed soil on the far side of the hole. The harder it's pulled, the harder it holds.
